Birthday!

So this weekend was my birthday, I don't have any pictures, but it was a very nice day. Rich had to work, but the kids and I spent the morning cleaning the house and doing laundry. (typical mom stuff!) Rich called about 11 and said you need to be ready when I get home, but wouldn't give me any details. So I quickly finished cleaning, and had an even quicker shower, so I could get ready in time. He walked through the door at 1:30, and then a few minutes later, my best friend Jolene walked in. I was stumped! He said to her, "The only rule is, nothing for me, or the kids, its all about her today." He sent me on a shopping spree!!! It was so much fun, but so hard to resist looking at stuff for the kids. We found some cute stuff at Old Navy, and then headed over to Kohls, where I found some nice shoes for the coming winter. We ended with a little food from Firehouse Pizza! My favorite, their pasta! It was a blast, but when I got home, I found out that it wasn't over. We took the kids over to my sisters house, and the Rich and I went to dinner and the new James Bond movie. Good movie, we just had to sit close, (even being 25 min early). I had a very good day. I was impressed that Rich put that much thought into it. Anyway, it was a nice day! I am excited to wear my new stuff, and I still have french silk pie in the fridge! Yum!!

Trick or Treat

I was so excited for Halloween this year. Mostly to get the kids dressed up, and it was our first year to actually go trick or treating. We have always gone to the trunk or treats, but the kids were equally excited about this year. Nate was Batman. Leah, the cutest pirate I have ever seen, and Abby, of course was Hannah Montana. We went with some friends in the neighborhood, and got more candy than they should probably eat in a year.
Here is Abby, and Jakelle, (both Hannah's) they were so excited to trick or treat together.
It took about 20-30 minutes, and Leah figured out what was going on, after that I couldn't keep her in the stroller. She had to run to each house. Brooklyn (her little friend) fell asleep halfway through, so Leah made a point at each house to get a treat for each of them. The girls had a system for ringing the doorbells. But a lot of the people were sitting on their porches, which was nice too, It was a very fun night for all.
