Birthday!

Yesterday was Leah's Birthday. We spent the day with family and friends. She loved that it was finally her turn to open presents. As soon as we took her out of her crib, she ran to the living room and started on the presents before we could even get the camera on. All day long she would go up to people and say "Birthday" I think hoping they had a present for her. She loves the Backyardigans, so we had a fun party with Backyardingans presents and cake.

Presents from Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa Rowley brought Leah a cute shirt, and some princess books. She loved them.

Bear Lake

We decided to take the day and go to the Lake. Our kids have never been, and Rich and I haven't been there for at least 6 or 7 years. We had so much fun. Our good friends Quinn and Marlow, and their kids joined us for the day. We enjoyed the water and sunshine. The only eventful moment, was when a gust of wind came, and took our umbrella, and tried to take me with it. It was a lot of fun, and we hope to make it back again before school starts.
Building Sand Castles.
A day at the lake, and we are loving it!
Leah did not like the sand, so she sat on the blanket with me, and started her own collection of seashells. Every time her feet would touch the sand, she would run for a blanket.
She was not a fan of the water either!
Abby and Sarah coming in from a swim. Well at least a walk. They loved it, because they could walk out for at least a half mile, and the water only came to their knees.
Nate and his best friend, Kyla.
Abby and Nate had fun teaching their friends how to play the candy bar game.
Who can go to Bear Lake, and not get their famous Raspberry shakes? Not us anyway. This is Nate and Bryan. Nate loves to follow him around. If he can't find him, he comes and asks me, "Mom where the big guy at?" He can never remember his name, but he loves that there is a big kid that lets him tag along.

Park City

Last month I got the chance to go to Park City, and spend a week with my family. It was just me and the kids, (Rich had to work). We had a huge condo that a friend let us use, the kids had a blast. The only drawback was that while we were there it snowed! Being summer, I had only packed summer clothes, and to top it off, the pilot light went out, and there were no matches in the house, So we had no heat. So what else do we do? Go shopping! The outlets were only 10 minutes away, and we had a great time. While we were there, we celebrated my parents birthdays, which are a day apart from each other. If you can see in the pictures, we had no candles, so yes, those are spaghetti noodles.

A Ride in the Buggy!

Rich's friend, Dan has built this buggy from the ground up. Well last week he offered Nathan a ride, and Nate was excited to say the least. While Rich was helping him get buckled in, he told Rich "Go away" He wanted to be the big kid, and didn't want dad to hog his glory. He had a blast. I thought that he would be scared because its loud, and you fly over the hills, but as you can see in the last picture, when he got back he was ecstatic.

Bedtime!

Our Little Leah!

An Exciting Game of Cootie!

Presents from Grandpa and Grandma

The Birthday!

Nathan without Training Wheels!

So I was sitting watching Nathan ride his scooter, and he would just coast up and down the driveway, and so I had Rich take the training wheels off his bike, and you could hardly tell he hadn't done this before. Within minutes, he was starting and stopping himself. I guess I couldn't expect anything less from a kid who was riding a bike at 23 months old! So this is his second attempt, and as you can see, he has it mastered.

Bad Girls

Family Picture Time

Craft Time

The girls loved making all the crafts. Aunt Kristi brought flowers, Grandma had bags, and this is them making bracelets that Aunt Michelle brought.

Max

Max came along for his first campout, and did great. A few of the kids were nervous at first, but by the end, they were all playing with him. This is Michelle's son, Josh.

2008 Rowley Family Campout

We went and spent a few days with Rich's family camping. It was fun to spend a few days just doing nothing. The kids had a blast, and as you can see, even Jakelle joined us for a day.
