Question???

Abby has informed me that she would like a white dress for her baptism, as I have looked around I have realized that I could spend a small fortune on one. For a dress that will probably get worn less that a dozen times I don't want to spend a lot. So, here is the question. Did your daughter(s) wear a white dress for their baptism? and if so where did you find it? Thanks for the help!

We are having...

Another Girl! We are so excited, everything looks great and right on track. The technician gave each of the kids an ultrasound picture so that they could take it and show their classes at school. Leah has carried hers around all day, and shown everyone her baby sister. She is so proud that she was right, and now wants to name her Sleeping Beauty. So, bring on the pink!!

Baby Animal Days

So I was about caught up, and then my modem decided to fry itself and we were without a computer for a week! It was torture, but now that I have spent a day catching up on everyone's blogs, I have an update. I am sure you were all waiting on pins and needles! We had a lot of fun at baby animal days this year. Sadly we went by ourselves for most of the day, but Michelle and her kids joined us for the last hour or two. Always more fun with someone else! The kids were so much more adventurous this year, and wanted to see and touch everything.
Abby found this cute baby goat taking a break in the feeding trough.

If you look at the bunnies, they were pretty much identical, perfect for not arguing about which color they wanted to hold.
Leah wanted no help this year on the horse and just loved it. Last year we went and she rode she didn't want to get off, a couple months after going, she said out of the blue, "Mom, I love my horse Candy." That was her horses name last year, I was shocked that she remembered its name, but all year long she talked about her horse named Candy. She was only 2 at the time. So this year she asked what her horses name was, and the girl told her, and so Leah asked about Candy, it turned out that they still had her and that Nate was actually riding her. She thought that was pretty cool.


I didn't get my camera out quick enough, but this is the train conductor helping Nate down. He got to go up and blow the whistle on the train. He absolutely loved it!

Here are my cute kids, no one wanted to sit by me, so they all squished onto one bench.
There was a guy riding this all over the Heritage Center, he stopped for kids to see it, and even let them get on. Nate was first in line, it took Abby a little longer to decide to do it.

Egg Hunts and Easter

I know these are completely out of order, but oh well...we will work with it! This is at Grandpa and Grandma Rowley's house. We had an egg hunt on monday after Easter. The kids had a lot of fun. They started downstairs, and while they were hunting, the dads and grandpa hid the eggs upstairs.




We had the egg hunt at my parents house on Saturday before Easter. We usually do it outside, but since there was an inch of snow out there, we opted for inside. We usually set part of the lawn aside for the little kids and then the bigger ones get the rest. (theres 1 and a half acres) so there is always good spots for the eggs. We had to be more creative indoors, so the little ones went first, then followed by the older kids.

We had to be sneaky for the older ones, they had almost no problem finding them all.

Here are the little ones with their goodies, they were so cute, and so excited to have found their eggs. Only more interested in what was in them.
The aftermath, everyone trading the candy they don't like for some good stuff. It was a lot of fun, and hopefully next year we will be able to do it outside!
Easter morning, the kids went on an egg hunt in the house, and found so much candy and treats.


Here are their cute baskets, if you can't read the signs...I came upstairs to find that Abby wanted the Easter bunny to know whose basket was whose, and if they were a boy or a girl. So they said "ABBY girl, NATHAN boy, LEAH girl." It made me laugh, I loved it!
Leah just wanted to see what was in the bottom. They each got a new swimsuit, a zhu zhu pet, and an electric toothbrush.

Apparently the tube of Tootsie Rolls was a hit! Now bring on the warm weather!!

Easter Activities

Warning: Picture overload. I needed to get these all done so I can move past Easter, so you are getting them all in one post. Leah and Brooklyn are helping me stuff the eggs. I know its a ton, but when you have 4 egg hunts to go to with 5 kids, it barely cut it. They were so cute, and loved being helpful.


On Monday before Easter, we dyed eggs. There are some extras here that showed up, but the more the merrier right!
Leah just loved it, and I just let her do her thing. For those that were wondering...her hair really is that dark now. Its crazy, maybe it will lighten up during summer, who knows?

On Tuesday we made and decorated sugar cookies, they had so much fun. I just noticed this one is a bit blurry, sorry.

On Wednesday we made a decorated cupcakes with coconut grass and made chocolate suckers and bunnies to put on top. And so that you all know, only a half dozen of all these treats stayed at my house. I quickly delivered them to neighbors and friends. The good thing with this pregnancy is that I am not craving sugar, so that wasn't hard at all! But, bring on the steak and potatoes!!
On Thursday we made chocolate chip cookies, but no pictures, the kids wanted to take some to their friends and teachers at school. On Saturday we hit the stores for the egg hunts, and then to grandmas. Pictures of that later. We came back and made rice crispy treat eggs and dipped them in chocolate and sprinkles. The kids had so much fun with this. We then wrapped them up and the Easter bunny hid them around the house for us to find the next day.

Nate thought it was pretty cool, and especially after he got treats out of the basket.
Leah was a bit nervous, but loved it by the end, it was a long day. But hopefully some memories!

Grandma Perry's

My kids absolutely adore Grandma Perry. We have been lucky enough to stay with her a couple of times this last month, and I finally remembered to pull out my camera. The big hit at Grandmas is the giant chalk board. They will spend seriously hours on it, Leah is learning to write her name and has perfected it at Grandmas. They take turns on it, and will put a line down the middle so that they can all write together.

This was the first time Leah had drawn a person all by herself, I was so proud of her, and if you can't tell...so is she!!


We just love grandma, and can't get enough of her. Abby has to make sure we get some of her famous bread every time that we go. This last time we were there, she pulled out a bunch of her story books. Books that my kids had never seen, some over 30 years old. She sat and read to them for hours and they couldn't get enough of it. Thank you Grandma for always putting up with us, and letting us crash at your home. WE LOVE YOU!!
