Brylee Jo

Be prepared for the longest slideshow ever! I realized I haven't written anything about the day she was born. But I promised pictures, so here they are!! I was supposed to be induced on Tuesday the 7th...I called first thing in the morning, but they had had a busy night and a lot of first time moms had come in, in labor. So they had me call back every 2 hours. At 3 they told me they would call me. They called at 7, because my doctor had said no matter what I would go in that day, well they still had a full house and told me to call back in the morning. I was devastated, and lost it. I cried, and was upset all night. Silly I know, but I had planned on that day for weeks and I was ready to be done. So the next morning I called and the had me come in at 7:15. We got there and checked in, and by the time I was hooked up to the pit it was about 9. The doctor came and broke my water just shortly after that.

I got my epidural at 10:30, and it took forever, they had run out of their usual supplies, and they had different ones that were not working as well, so it took a bit longer to get it in. my nurse just kept saying you are going to go fast, but I had my doubts. After my epidural I was at a 3 plus, and then she checked my at 12:30 and I was at a 5. She told me to call her if I felt any pressure, but I thought it would be a while. 20 minutes later, I told Rich I was in a lot of pain, to go get the nurse. She came in a few minutes later, and sure enough I was ready to go!

They called my doctor and he came 10 minutes later. By the time they got everything set up, I pushed through 2 contractions and she was here. I was shocked at how fast and easy it had gone. She was perfect, weighing in at 8 lbs and 12 oz. (which is exactly what I had guessed!) She was 20 inches long, and born at 1:25 p.m.

As you can tell, she is very spoiled, we love her lots. The kids all fight over who gets to hold her first in the morning and then who gets her when they get home from school. Brylee is such a good baby, very content and sleeping pretty well. I get usually 4 hours between feedings. I feel like I am playing house this time around, playing dress-up with the baby. I have loved all my babies, but I feel like this time around I am really enjoying it. I'm not stressed about such a strict schedule and worried about making mistakes. I just sit and hold her most of the day, with my other ones I as working a week after they were born, and there was no time to just sit. I love having her sweet little spirit in our home, she is just perfect.

We will be blessing her next weekend and I am excited for family to be here with us!

Lots of Pictures!

Leah's first day of preschool was the day that Brylee was born. These are not her first day pictures, but close enough. Once again they are on my phone and I still can't get them off! She loves preschool and can't wait for the days that she can go. She sets out her backpack and clothes the night before so that she is all ready. Her preschool doesn't start until 12:30, but she is ready long before.

Brylee is growing already, its not fair that they have to grow so fast! Her two week appointment she was up to 9 pounds and 4 ounces. Her little cheeks are filling out and its so cute! I am feeling good, and back to the same routine with the kids and school. I love having a new baby in the house, it is so much fun!

The girls were gone last Saturday, so the boys wanted their time with the baby. It was so cute, they love her lots!!

My family came on Sunday and got to see the baby. She is very spoiled if you can't tell!
Her cord fell off on Saturday, so she got her first bath that night. She is NOT a fan! But boy did she smell good!!

This was this afternoon, she is such a good baby, and is so content and happy for most of the day. That is if she ever gets put down long enough!!

Proud Daddy

The kids were so excited to see her, they had to wait until after school to come up.

I just love her eyes!

Ready to go home. I have other pictures, but figured this was a little of an overload. As soon as Rich can get them off my phone I will put them up. She is such a good baby, I LOVE having a baby in the house again, and the kids just adore her. She is just so sweet, and everything is going very well. Her delivery was perfect, and we are so happy to have her home with us!

First Day of School

I know we all think it, and I have said it a hundred times, but where did all that time go!?! Abby started 3rd grade, and has grown up so much. She is such a good help to me, and her siblings. She was so excited to pick out her outfit for the first day and put all her stuff in her backpack. I know she will do well this year.
Nate is in 1st grade! He is now gone all day with Abby, I can't believe he is old enough. We are going to the new school here, so they ride their bikes every morning and I love watching them load up and go. They are so cute together and get along pretty well for the most part! He is loving eating lunch at school.

Nathan, Jakelle, and Abby in the school.
Nathan has Mrs. Dahle just like Abby did for 1st grade. I am so excited, he loves her and has several friends in his class.
Abby has a new teacher, Her name is Mrs. Grimnes. She like her a lot, and she also has several friends in her class. I love having the school so close, that I won't have to go out with a new baby. They can even walk during the winter time (if its not too terrible!)
I am excited for the new school here, they almost have the playground done, apparently they were a little behind on finishing a few things. They should be finished when the kids go back on Tuesday. The floor plan is about identical to Bridger, so it was nice actually going in and know where I was going. Leah will start preschool on Wednesday and couldn't be more excited, her best friend is in with her, so it will be perfect.
As far as baby goes, she seems content to stay where she is for now. So we are still planning for an induction on Tuesday! I will keep you posted...

August Fun

Rich had a half day at work a couple weeks ago. The kids were about to start school so he decided to have a day of fun with his kids. He went and put the sprinklers under the tramp and put on his swimsuit. The kids were so excited they all ran and changed. They were playing every game they could think of and then doing tricks..I think this is Nate in the middle of a flip.
Leah was it for this game, she had to close her eyes and find the people on the tramp. It was so funny because she wouldn't peek, so she kept running into the sides of the tramp. Thank goodness for the net!
Rich decided to do a flip or land on his stomach and his back...let's just say he was pretty sore for about a week!!

Then they all built a fort in my front room and slept in it. It was pretty cute. They each had their own little corner and had so much stuff piled in there, I am not sure how they fit in it too!
